Having sold the GS due to having too little time to ride
I missed having a bike so I'm now the happy owner of a 2012 990 Adv R
.
I rode it 250 miles home from Colwyn Bay Motorcycles on Friday - the day when it rained everywhere North of Peterborough it seems after days of sunshine
Love the bike, but definitely need to raise the bars. It's fitted with Renthal KTM Bend bars which I assume are standard on the 990 Adv. What do you suggest I do? Replace the Bend bars with a High Bar or keep the Bend Bars and add bar risers, or do both - fit higher bars and bar risers?
Is there much play in the cables?
I'll probably use an Airhawk on the seat that will raise me a tad as well. I'm 5ft 11in so not over-tall but find that I'm not naturally keeping my back straight and when I stand on the pegs I'm definitely leaning over the bars.
Any advice appreciated
