Highest Roads Run (2nd to 3rd May)

+1 :thumb2

Three of us are booked into the Tailrace Inn in Kinlochleven on the Friday night.

May see you there (I'll be on the 100GS :thumb2).

Bob.

Any campsites nearby you know of? Since I'll be on my own, a single room there would be a bit pricey, but if there was a convenient tent parking spot I'd be happy to join you in the bar...:ChrisKelly

As Andi says, people do camp near the Ice Factory.

There is also a caravan Park / campsite about three miles out of Kinlochleven on the B863 (South side). Friends of ours who compete & Marshall usually book a large 'van there.

You'll be very lucky to find a B&B bed for the night, the place is booked solid.

Our usual B&B let us down and I was lucky to get a cancellation after trying about eight 'recommendations'.

I think that's what I'll aim for.

I haven't actually been up to the SSDT since I last went up with my Dad, probably at least 5, maybe 7, years ago. He was only really interested in the older bikes (not really surprising I suppose:rob), and that's sort of rubbed off on me (matron).:D

However this seems to be a good excuse to go back up there, and get a Castrol R fix...

That's the weekend o' the Bon Scott Doo in Kirrie. I'll ha'e to gie the run a miss I'm afraid. I've telt Frau Ronno that I'll be treatin' her tae a weekend in Kirriemuir. I'm a man o' mah word :thumb2
