When starting to pull away on a hill, my bike seems to pull away smoothly and doesn't hop around like a kangaroo on speed, is there something wrong with my traction control?
I have heard that some GS owners are struggling to engage kangaroo pull away mode due to failing electronics.
What am I missing by not having kangaroo mode? Do bm sell it as an optional extra for the 1150?

:D:D:D

It's easy.

1) get a job that means you can piss away more money than your bike is worth if it LOOKS shiny and farkly enough.....and is probably a bit of a later model than your neighbour's
2) forget that you know how to ride a motorcycle and imagine you're back on a 16 inch wheel BMX with stabilisers, with your dad's hands on your shoulders making sure you're ok all the way
3) get your arse sensor, eyes, sense of balance and the muscle control for your right hand disconnected by a decent surgeon
4) get so pissed up that you forget all common sense and lose all of your (admittedly limited) intelligence, secure in the knowledge that Dr Van Helmut Cheese will probably let you get away with being a fucktard
5) then ride like you're on a 1200 toilet :)

Alternatively, just carry on the way you are and enjoy the best ever variation of the breed, free of "Help me, I don't know how to control my right hand" mode disease, "fucking hell I'm not grown up enough to deal with this!" traction controlitus and of course the dreaded "I'm such a fucking backwards numpty I can't tell if I've got a flat tyre" syndrome.

So much envy and such failed attempts to disguise it as derision...... :comfort

A combination of clutch, throttle, front brake, and a judicious application of manual dexterity works fine for me.
All them big words in one sentence i'll have to go for a lay down now:eek

I suspect you cheat by making use of the neutral light in combination with the super hi tech, expensive RID option on your 1150 and therefore know what gear the bike is in. :D.

You can get out of here!

If we can't play in the crèche then you better have your name on the list to come in here :D

You can, of course, play in the creche, but you keep knocking everyones toys over!:D

I find always parking facing downhill cures most hill starting issues.
