I ordered a new GS on Saturday ,dealer said could be here for mid April.Im interested but What's the best time to go from a mileage perpective ?
I presume I need to be a member to pm you ?

Geoff often has brand new racing engines on the Dyno and new bikes too. Personally, I'd get the first 600 mile service (or whenever the first one is), out of the way. It also means you will be able to appreciate the improvements.

My last gsa had done 2000 miles when I took it to Geoff. My current gsa had done 700 when I took it, and didn't make as much power after the remap. I'd be inclined to get a couple of thousand miles on the bike first, to get it really loosened up next time.

Good advice from an expert. It should constantly adjust so hopefully will improve.

Not a dime! Geoff has already got some good support from Mark. I'm only organising these dates so forum members can save some money and see the same improvements I saw on my bike.

Yeah, I like it. Feel smoother and faster. Rain mode feels like road, road like dynamic etc. I hope to have some akra titanium headers soon and it doesn't need a new map after apparently.

It makes sence why it would but without having solid facts, I can't say it really why you would need a remap. Remove a CAT and fuelling gets messed up, would be my reason to believe that you would ned adjusting the map.
