Had my TC done....sooo much smoother and quick of the line....I thought it well worth the money.

Still experiencing some throttle snatch and roughish low rev running on my 2014 Stelvio.

Spoke with Geoff at Hilltop who said if there's no significant improvement in the overall performance of the bike after his remap...there's no charge..can't say fairer than that.

He does take it back to original settings of course.

tbh my bike is back to standard,had full akra on previously and took it back off.not looking for power just smooth drivability and get the mixture spot on to avoid any lean spots.

you'll really enjoy the transformation. Smoother engine running, better throttle response, accelerates harder, better mpg, money well spent IMO. Mine seems to run a little cooler too for some reason.

Yup, had mine done, super smooth, and revs out keener than ever. And like you say, I now know the fuelling is spot on. As mines a keeper I thought money well spent, enhances a bike I was already thoroughly impressed with.

I think the benefits of a remap grow on you and if the bikes a keeper you start dividing the £350 by the time you've had and will have the bike and be glad you did it.

Had my '13 GSA done some time ago now and for sure the bike is simply smoother and stronger. Most importantly the lean mixture is sorted so from a longevity perspective that means the internals will last longer and I also think it runs slightly cooler.

Other dyno folk may charge less, but Geoff seems to know his stuff and is a bike nut so cares about what he does and the number of GS's he's re-mapped speaks for itself. It's a mod that will add a couple of hundred £'s to your residual too.

Ask to see his paragliding pictures - they're pretty cool!!

Oh and report back your thoughts when you get back on Saturday too.

None taken, but I would disagree it's utter bollocks. A well known and liked £350 accessory that improves your bike would in my opinion add value.

I think a "depends" should be added into that. It would very much depend on the view of a potential buyer - some may dismiss it completely however someone else might perceive value. I for one have kept all my Hilltop documentation in my bike file so come the time to sell I will add that to the sales patter in negotiating the final price. You can argue not only about the performance enhancements as shown on the Dyno readouts but also engine life/longevity with a richer fuel map. That may or may not have perceived value by the potential buyer.

Spot on if recouping money spent on a bike is important then going down the power commander route would be better its visual and if you don't get any extra money when you come to sell remove and eBay it

well im not looking to add value thats for sure,all i really would like is the bike to "feel" nice and smooth and pull slightly stronger but more important is i will know for sure that the mixture is spot on all through the rev range and any potential weak mixture issues are sorted.

I realise that , 16 months ago whilst looking for my gsa I tried 5 or 6 gs's one of them a 60reg rode and performed way better than the rest, it was only when looking through its history me and the dealer spotted documents and a graph from hilltop.i didn't buy it because of the corrosion it had but I will defiantly be taking my gsa next year to hilltop to achieve the performance and ride of that bike

I agree

The benefits are great and are worth every penny, but it's not a 'jump on the bike to drive home and go wow' moment, its a subtle shift in lovely fuelling that you appreciate over time at slippy roundabouts, silky low revs, riding through town, winding the gas on in a corner ... etc.
