Ok, whilst something like this will never be very secure in a high risk crime environment (ie the UK), if you want to ‘secure’ your helmet to your bike when on your hollibobs, then this is better than nothing and better than some offerings out there

Think it’s been out a year or so and is an upgrade on the much cheaper and less secure z lok.

Reviewed here (you’ll need to click ‘watch on YouTube’)

The black version currently has 25% off on Amazon

Just ordered one after looking at a few reviews. Ideal for on the ferry instead of lugging the helmet up to the cabin. It is long enough to fit through two helmets and around the grabrails.(apparently). Ordered via Motocentral using the forum discount code (y)

Good spot. Thanks

But the black is still cheaper on Amazon at £18.85 with 25% off than £22.50 at Motocentral with 10% off. Unless you wanted a different colour .
I’ve had a few helmet locks but this looks great for lunch stops etc where I can lock it on the seat .

Had one of those Hiplocks. 2nd time of use and it jammed locked. Fortunately not whilst in use.
No amount of fiddling and combination lock code reset would unjam it. In the bin. Sticking with a keyed helmet lock.

I think that is Gen 1 which can be cut through with cable cutter. Realise not everyone is walking about with those though so you take your chances I suppose.
Looks the same as the one above from Hip Lok directly?

I thought Gen1 was key operated?? 🤔

Rocketman on youtube goes through the different types. Looks like they have upgraded the 2nd version without the key

Unfortunately wont let me link his video

The one marketed as "Combo" is V2 of the one without the key.

Glad the managed to keep it simple!!

I have the new Hiplok disc lock and two of the new Hiplok helmet / jacket locks.

All are well made, the disc lock having decent length keys, unlike some of the shorter and fiddly keys which come with other disc locks. You receive three keys, which is handy.

The helmet / jacket (run it through a sleeve) are similarly decently made. I’ll use them instead of the retractable Abus cable lock I’ve been using for ages. One tip: To reset the combination, you need to push the button right in. Use a pin or similar.
