Hmm,if only I could reach the floor

You'd fit the gauges so that you can watch the temperature go up and up, and then when your oil cooler splits you will be able to see the pressure plummet. Or you could remove the gauges and the oil cooler. That way there's nothing to split and no gauges to monitor and worry about. My old R80G/S did The Alps and the Pyrenees in 40 degrees of heat, two up with camping gear, including the Stella Alpina route with me completely unaware of the state of my engine oil. Ignorance is often bliss.

I've always wondered, why would anyone fit a clock and a rev counter on a standard R80GS? One of them drains your battery when parked up and the other tells you what your ears told you shortly before hand, change up!!!

Steve.

Indeed, hence my post no 8 above. Its just extraneous trashy bling.

I like the bike, and would love to own such a machine....
BUT, I would want to simplify that dash..... too much to distract from the road IMHO.
(But what do I know?)

Around nine AM just back from walking the dog, Funduro in the drive with a full tank and a almost new set of knobs, cloudless flat calm and a crisp 29c forecast, just perfect for a back lane meander down to Cape Jarvis. Around 350 km return.
But not too slow, or I wont get the oil in the Rotax above 80 degrees (joke)
Actually my first set of Knobs on any bike, and first impressions are that the just are not for me, but I will try and bash some sense into them over the next week or so.
They were bought with a run up through the Flinders ranges in mind, but on dry hard pack are actually worse than 90/10 like a Anekee 3.
Look horn, though!
