Forry's comment on our 'Mountain Trail Ride' got me thinking :blast

So how's about a New Years day trail ride to include 'Bwlch y Groes as a means to both escape from the usual and to begin a no smoking attempt. There's a few of us that really should pack it in:o

And if you are one of those 2-stroke smokers you have to ride at the back:P

We could make it a two day event to make it worthwhile for those travelling some distance.

Perhaps Mold on one day as it's a bit less strenuous than the other place:)

Count me in for the Trail ride and the stop smoking attempt
We might all end up fighting nicotine withdrawal :handbag

Feck, feck, and double feck.....

Dudes, I'm working 31st Dec and 1st Jan. Not that I'm any catalyst...:augie
What about 29th and 30th December, they're both weekend days..........?:nenau
A Dolgellau run would be a nice option also.........
If that doesn't suit you, I'll run a splinter run for the folks who can't do yours.

I know that I am not working on any of those dates so please count me in:bounce1. Not sure if I'll still be smoking then or not:confused: it depends if it blows up or not:augie

Sounds good Timpo, 29th and 30th Dec...that means we can still have fag breaks:thumb:cool

Dolgellau one day Pentrefoelas the other, wow!:)

It would mean a lot of driving unless you and Forry stayed overnight here.:ymca

Not sure about inviting Timpo coz he never posts his photos up :thedummy
I'll put an order in for Chocolate cake :roll

Is this outing by invite? Or can any idiot come along?:aidan;)

Should have my DRZ fully functional by then.

You sods!

Picked the weekend with my kids again :blast

How about a splinter-splinter ride for those who can't make the weekend.......:D

And yes, I also need to pack in the smoking ( not the KTM Timpo ! ).

Cheers, Rick.

Any idiot is welcome and they'll feel at home.:grin

The bikes will need full knobbly tyres, Pirelli MT21s would not be suitable....

What would you suggest? At the moment it has a Trailwing on the front, and a Sahara Tyre on the rear, so not much use in Wales ;) Got to admit I was planning on putting on MT21's, so I'm open to suggestions (about the tyres ;) ).

Take the Mt 21's off for the winter and re-fit for the summer Rocks you can pick up a set of proper tyres for £80 :thumb2

Oh bollix, another day on Bwlch-y-Groes (ByG).
Tim, shall we (I) post a thread for the 29th and 30th December weekend.
If you are hell bent on doing ByG, then day one will be Pentrefoelas, day two will be Llangollen.
It's up to you Tim.......:nenau
...You are the elder after all.......:rob

Timpo.

Timpo.

We don't have to do ByG, just thought Forry and few other lemmings might like it... while we go to the pub and wait for them;).
It's a long way for Forry to travel and thought we could show him and others somewhere new, I think he's done Llangollen several times now.
The original thought was to coincide a real tough ride with a stop smoking campaign just to reinforce the idea is a good one:cool....not that Llangollen isn't tough the Right Way Round (RWR).

But it looks as though 29th and 30th Dec is favourite and we could leave this thread as is or start another sonny boy.
