For the third year running we have a stand at the NEC Motorcycle Live show 19th to 27th November.

Of course we do this to promote our hotel but in so doing we also promote our region. Kärnten (Carinthia in English) is Austria's southernmost province and borders both Italy and Slovenia. Although little know in the UK it has a reputation in Europe as one of the best biking areas anywhere.

Take a look at this film, made last summer by one of our guests. The location in Slovenia is an hours ride from our place

Or the little road by the side of the hotel-goes up to 1600m with views to the mountains of both Italy and Slovenia http://youtu.be/OCHWuFY8dDk

We will have a selection of films running at the show-some from my own helmet camera and some from those of our guests.

If any of you make it to the show please come along to our stand-Stand E2 Hall 2 to say hello. It would be great to put some faces to the names!

John,

Will you be showing the clip of the clash between Peter on his GS and the HD Electra-glide? :D

Will come and say hello at the show, if I get there, unfortunately I will not be visiting you in 2012, due to working at the Olympics, so perhaps 2013. john

This one- http://youtu.be/BbQeuQiikNY Not sure it will help our cause!
Peter and I went to the local police station in Gmünd to make statements. The policeman was really pleased to get a copy of the film. Case closed I think.

Hope to see you at the show-and in 2013

Well held that man.

I'll be back on Sunday. I was the chap who came and saw you who had been handed a leaflet by "Martin" from N. Wales.

After the ball is over .....

Show over and we are resting our weary limbs! Great to see some of you there and to put faces to names. For us it was our busiest show ever. Not only did we take more bookings than we expected but we also has an almost constant stream of previous guests coming to say hello.

The show itself was even better than last year with lots of new bikes and some amazing bargains-(I got some gloves reduced from 60 pounds to 20)
We are told that attendance was up 14% and it certainly felt like it.

This year we were lucky to have a team of helpers who gave up their time to man the stand. Between five and eight of us were kept busy every day.
Everyone picked up on a feeling of people becoming tired of all the doom and gloom and deciding to just get on with life

Hope to see some of you out in Austria next summer

John
