Hi guys,

First post here... I've a meeting in Bedford, BEDs next Friday afternoon and am taking the bike across on the ferry for a spin rather than the usual ferry to Luton.

My standard way is pretty boring motorway all the way, any suggestions for alternative route to get the most from the Welsh countryside plus any ideas for good breakfast about an two hours from Holyhead... I arrive at 0600hrs!!

Cheers,

Stay in Wales as long as possible, hedge and ditch till you cross the Severn on the M4 bridge, swing a bit NE into the Cotswolds, then a bit more hedge and ditch across to Bedford.
People pay for an opportunity like this, could be a really fab run............

Hi J,

Try this one attached it runs from Bala to Abergavenny using mainly B roads.

Its a good challenging route so leave plenty of time.

If you can take in the A5 through the Llanberis pass, and if time allows take in the Elan Valley, it`ll be well worth it.
