Home made Turbinators

I wonted to see if turbinators would reduce buffeting.
I made mine from a pair of audio straps and a couple of nuts and bolts, job done. I can adjust the hight by using the different holes in the metal strap. It looks like two bits of maccano.

Question is how much of a gap are you using on your proper turbinators ?
Ive tried a large gap and there was a reduction in buffeting but it was just windy from under the screen.

By the way when I have the right hight ill chop the strip down to size so its not noticeable. That is if this sort of device works.
