I've been using, until recently, a Netgear SC101 for home data storage, which I am now trying to get working long enough for me to copy the data from it onto a PROPER NAS device, or find out how to access the data on the still working drives - which is going to be a right bast*rd. And NO I would not recommend one.
Anyway, I'm after a new NAS for home / small business use.
I've looked at a few reviews /costs etc. I need a minimum of 500Gb and fast ethernet access. And I do not want to spend over £400. I don't want much.
So far I've come up with either the Buffalo LinkStation Pro, or Western Digital My Book.
Has anyone had any experience with either of these ?
If anyone has other kit that they can recommend, then I am all ears.
I'm also well aware that is probably not the right forum for a geek related question, but you've got to try.
cheers
Aaron
