149BHP for the base bike and 155bhp for the SP.

SP also has quick shifter and Ohlins

£8999 for base bike and £9999 for SP

Both bikes over £2k cheaper than competition.

And yes, that’s a big exhaust , before the usual blinkered comments kick off 😜

750 may well be going in PX for this, I have reached the limits of the 750, so it seems like a natural move to make....Depends on the chassis and the SP version will mean I can tune it to my mountain roads.

Actually quite excited about this!

Well this is definitely going for a few juggler veins; at the price point of this the Mt o9 & the Z900 Kawasaki will have a fight on their hands; with 150hp it surpasses all the big hitters in this group quite easily; lets hope the service intervals are decent; especially the big one with the valve service; there's a lot to like at Honda witht this kind of kit. My last big Honda was in 1979; but that could change.

A bargain amongst it's class. I can't see that the valve check mileage will be much of an issue for most...it'll probably be at 16k (and they won't need adjusting). 200 Yamaha MT10 on sale on autotrader...just 20 of them have 15k miles or more. These really are the "2-3k miles a year, sunny Sunday ride" type bikes

Only reason i pointed it out was because Kawasaki 1000 SX states 26000 mls in the manual; but a few wks ago MCN did a second-hand guide feature that said it was 15000 mls; now anyone looking for this kind of bike second hand that was coming up to that sort of mileage would think twice knowing it's an involved and expensive service; i dont know where they got the info from but a manufacturers owners manual should be pretty accurate i would have thought.

The SP looks the better value with the forks, Öhlins, QS, calipers etc for only a grand more.

The SP in the pic above looks like it comes with a naff Ebay radiator guard pre-installed….

Why do Honda always play it so "safe" with bikes? Always so damn basic.

No IMU, no cruise. It's literally just software at this point, but they drop the ball at the last hurdle every time.

The price makes you look, but you can only trade off a name for so long. Especially with the chinks snapping at your heels.
