Mrs Sherpatensing wants a lighter bike than her CB500X and a CB300R looks like a favourable option. The later one with the gear position indicator is preferred.

My wife had one as she was concerned about something heavier, having dropped the CB500 she was riding. TBH I spent more time on that than I did my KTM Duke, especially through the autumn and spring riding seasons. Indestructible engine, same small frame as the 125cc version I think, would never get less than 90mpg and the bike I've had the throttle wide open on more than the rest combined. Certainly had to plan your overtakes but there's something about ragging a slow bike fast than the other way around. They're pretty rare in the UK - a dealer came down from Kent to Devon to pick mine up and I was happy with the price he paid for it

My mate went on tour with me on one of these last year, Black forest, grossglockner, stelvio etc, I was really impressed with the bike. Great mileage and it's really light so he seemed to go well on it what with him being a racing snake and all. He's ordered a new cb650r e clutch now because his cb300r was recently stolen 😑.

Great bikes - got mine in June and I’ve ridden it more than my GSX8R and R2150RT.
As has been said, it’s so much fun riding with the throttle pinned open on the twisties.
I wanted the updated version as well and set up alerts on EBay - a low mileage 23 reg came up at Staffs Honda for £3750 and I snapped it up.
Good luck with the search.
