Very good. Only one letter between Gambia and Zambia…but a whole world of trouble (think DRC for example).

I’m on holiday with time on my hands and it’s amazing what can twirl through your mind.

I have a friend in Zambia who was asking me when I am coming to visit and I must be honest despite following your trip I had to look up Gambia where your bike is and Zambia.

In my head there was a chance they could be close but alas no. Google couldn’t find a route to drive initially and it was 74 days on foot so a fair old schelp. I will post the map and GLWS but I think I’m out.

Gents:

I have been thinking hard since I posted this 'For Sale' advert about whether I was doing the right thing in selling this excellent little bike, (especially at a knockdown price).

Finally I have concluded that it would be better for me to keep the bike securely parked in The Gambia and return to it at some point next year, whether to explore more or to ride back North.

I apologise if I have disappointed anyone who started to plan their adventures on the back of this....although doi bear in mind that Jim (@Drumacoon Lad. ) also has an excellent CRF 250 Rally, newer and with less mileage and here in UK, that he might be persuaded to release to the world....
