Honda CT125 Hunter Cub

I’ve a funny feeling that Honda may have a change of heart and bring it to Europe in the near future.
I’m pretty sure it didn’t come initially as it didn’t meet Euro4 emissions. But now the engine has received an update, perhaps it’ll meet future emission laws ?

Is it legal to import an emission non-compliant motorcycle?

I think the new bikes for 2023 comply with euro emissions, as the CT125 now has the same motor as that fitted to the Grom, Dax and Monkey which are imported.

In any case, Seven Seas Motorcycles have imported many CT125s and they simply put them through a MVSA test with the DVSA to get a certificate to show they comply, so it can’t have been illegal.

I guessed and fair play :clap, one of my teachings is "Cliques are bollocks" :D..... it comes to us all but the great thing is this bike will last as long as you want and I'm really looking forward to hearing of your adventures on it partly because I really do 'get it' :beerjug:

First chance I get, might've said it before .... Scotland, across to Ireland, Wild Atlantic Way, sail from southern Ireland across to France or Spain, wherever .... and The Long Way Home :D

Some farkling ideas for the old duffer :-)

Oh I've got a list :D

To start with ...

I have to spend more on Farkles than Retroman does on his Himmy :D

Quoting Kritou .... it seems that it's the engines with standard gearbox that meets emissions. The semi auto doesn't :blast

:beerjug:

I've signed so JB can have one, well he does keep having a look in here doesn't he.....can just picture him now with a tartan flask of ham and pea soup, perhaps a piece of cake for after. All safely stowed in the rear shopping basket along with his polishing cloths :D

Sat outside the cafe eating his sandwiches and drinking from a flask ..... while everyone else is inside sat down to a meal :D

:beerjug:

Last time we both sat outside a cafe, was on that farm at Easter between Yarrow & Ettrickbridge

Yeah but your sandwiches were dry and curling up, stolen from some friend or other you had visited two day previous :D

Mine were fresh from the mornings platter from the hotel breakfast table :D

I signed it. I would really like one of these for a commuter if I can't continue to e-bike to work.
