What have I done? Taken the bait - I probably need medication. Doctor couldn't help he referred me to the UKGSer's forum.

Nice day except for the scattered thunder showers so went for a test ride on a GS. (Almost got a nose bleed sitting way up there). Got onto a narrow, twisty B road, wet, gravel, mud and some clear bitumen. Concentrate on riding smoothly look at speedo "" ?!*** ;;xvyzzz etc" translated as "good gracious me" doing the legal limit , thought only about 40. Well the rest you all know.

So collecting the 04 GS ADV on the March plate in 25 days time. Colour? The new black of course - Aluminium Silver.

It gets more difficult from here
First, you have to survive....................... THE FORUM . here you will be subjected to torment, ridicule and scorn.

If you pass, and after many months, you will become a "senior member"

During this period, if you cross the grand wizards palmtop with silver, you will have reached the level of sponsor.

The worst and most terrifying ordeal is the... MEETING AND RIDEOUT
Here yiu will have to meet seasoned Gs beastmasters in Person.
This is truly a test of endurance. Drinking and chatting late into the night has broken many new recruits. Be very wary of this.

In the morning after these events you will be approached by an innocent looking "person" and be invited on a "rideout"
No one can fully explain what happens on these as more drink is usually quaffed soon after your return.

If you find yourself at home next day with little recollection of events, you will have become a full member.

But beware............... from then on, sometimes it happens sooner than this, you will have a strange compultion to spend money on wierd icons to adorn your previously perfect machine.
