Horizons Unlimited Ireland 2014

Have you checked the Horizons Ireland site lately ?

In addition to recent signings Stephen Clark & Liam McCabe we just signed up Geoff Hill to give a presentation of his recreation of the world's first round the world biker Carl Stearns Clancy on the Centennary of his journey last year. Having read the book I for one am really looking forward to his second appearance at Horizons Ireland.

I would definitely be there if I was around.
One of the best weekends of the year.
Highly recommended. :thumb2

looking forward to this

Particularly the Carl Stearns (?) talk, good copy when it was in the de newspaper.

Looking forward to it.

id go just for the romanian adventure talk :D

but its the same weekend as std :(

NOT happy

There is NOTHING we can organise which could top Kev's lobster song. Unless you know better....................

The movement towards Enniskillen has started already. Jeff Smyth recently left his home in California to start his Round The World trip. His first overseas stopping point is with us in Enniskillen so make sure we all give him an Irish welcome (I believe he may consider a pint of Guinness!) Also Andy Rutherford has completed his cycle trip in South America and is now safely back home in Scotland. He will be with us in Enniskillen but I am not sure if he will be using pedal power to get there. Have you checked out Geoff Hill's article in the June issue of Motorcycle Sport and Leisure? A good read but in Enniskillen he will be regailing us with stories from his re-enactment of the C S Clancy's first circumnavigation of the world on a Henderson motorbike in 2012.

There is still time to register :aidan

Eventually.....

We are registered :aidan
Really looking forward to the weekend and the line up of presenters is fantastic. The only difficulty now is if I have to choose between any of the ones featured on the site as I want to hear all of them:blast

MORE PRESENTERS

A few more presenters to keep you entertained at the meeting on 18/20 July in Enniskillen.

Paddy Tyson will be giving a talk on his recent wee jaunt round Nepal and Tibet on a Royal Enfield. Paddy is a regular at the Enniskillen meeting (he hails from just up the road!) and somehow finds time out from writing books and editing "Overland" (undoubtedly the best travel magazine on the shelves) to travel to exciting destinations and make us all jealous by telling us about it. Not to be missed. (Don't forget to congratulate him on the recent birth of his son :thumb2)

Merv Colton will be relating stories from his 2+ years slow trip round South America in a Mercedes Unimog. Merv's photography skills are legendary and this is a "must see" presentation and look out for those stunning and atmospheric photos.

And, even at this late stage , there are more possible presenters in the wings!

If you are even considering a bike or 4 wheel trip, Enniskillen is definitely the place to be on 18/20 July.

Want to chillout and watch some quality motorbike travel escapism and more to come in the months to come?

Check out

Check out Stuart's trike at about 52 minutes in. Stuart is from Portaferry in Norn Iron! He was hoping to come along as a presenter to Enniskillen but a clash of dates put paid to that! Top bloke and maybe next year!!

While you are at it why not listen in to the dedicated biker internet site at

http://www.bikerfm.co.uk/

Look at the schedule and pick out the show that rocks your boat.

You ARE coming to Enniskillen aren't you? :rob

Still adding to the presenters list!

Jim McCausland will be giving a very practical talk/demonstration on self defense when on the road. Jim gave a similar demonstration a few years ago and, by popular demand, he has agreed to come back this year and repeat. A must attend presentation.

Roddy Warriner (Moto Freight) will be returning this year and will be having an impromptu Q & A session on the intricacies of freighting bikes and other vehicles round the globe. What Roddy doesn't know about freight isn't worth knowing and he is the guy to buy a pint for if you want to discuss matters freight.
And there may be more...................

You have until midnight Saturday (12 ) to register at discounted rate :-)

Just a quick reminder that today's the last day for online registration. You can still turn up in Enniskillen but it'll cost you an extra tenner. Still great value :thumb
