It IS happening. Just outside Enniskillen. On 28/30 MAY 2010. And all tossers are welcome.

The first Horizons Unlimited meeting in Ireland. :aidan:beerjug::clap

For those who have never experienced or even heard of a HU meeting this is not a typical motorcycle rally. The weekend is geared to travellers who want to experience the world on their motorcycle, not just a small, familiar part of it. No rock bands or beer bashes. Just motorcycle travellers and would-be travellers getting together to share experiences and tips.

Typical activities include

Inspirational travellers stories and slide shows

Informative seminars on "How to go round the world on a motorcycle"or "What to do when the bike stops" or "How to fix a puncture" all by people who know and have done it!!

Ride outs in one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland.

Lots of time for sharing stories, technical tips, border crossing hints and much more.

And, being Ireland, a lot of craic!!

A HU meeting allows you to meet people who don't think you're crazy for wanting to ride your bike round Europe, South America, Africa, Asia or even the world. Admit it. All your "normal" friends and most of your family fears for your sanity!!

This is an opportunity to meet the people who will encourage you in that craziness, and maybe you'll meet them again in Mongolia or Timbuktu!!

Registration page is now up on Horizons Unlimited site. Check it out at

http://www.HorizonsUnlimited.com/meetings/Ireland2010.php

Keep checking as we will be adding to the list of speakers and technical demonstrations.

If this sounds interesting why not register today. You won't regret it!

It IS happening.
:clap
Well done for getting it organised Liam :thumb2

I've been to 2 of these in Ripley & one in Morocco with Daithi  and they're great craic. If you're thinking of a long trip they're essential viewing but even if you're just dreaming it's great to go along and hear other peoples stories & see their photos.

I'll be there :bounce1 And I might even bring my tent

I see ya found the 'bravery pills' :D

Do you think I might have hurt his very delicate feelings? :comfort

And there was me thinking he was as thick skinned as yourself. :augie

Joking aside, I think this could be very interesting. I'd love to do a major journey, funds permitting.

I think this could be very interesting.

It will be :thumb2
With the likes of Joe the Celt (hopefully), Daithi & Bladerunner plus other presenters not yet revealed ;) I think it'll be a brilliant weekend.

Sure, if nothing else, come along & watch me suffering in me wee tent :camping That alone would be worth the trip up :D

If youse haven't registered yet get yer fingers out & do it now :aidan

A few more presenters to tempt you into registering!!

LIAM McCABE took off in 1999 and spent the next four years riding round the world (as you do!!) Liam is currently living in Bangor Co. Down and this will be his first presentation. He is calling his talk "An Irishman that doesn't drink....Making it up as you go along"

STEPHEN BAKER (aka Lamble on this site) will be giving a talk entitled "Three cups of tea...Seattle to Bogata with panniers full of tea bags" If you want to know more of Stephen's travels check out his eccentric postings on this site in 2008/9. Better still, come along and hear the man himself!

There are a few more presenters and demonstrators in the wings. So watch this space!

Don't forget to register! See ya all there.
