It rained most of the morning riding to Ripley, but fortunately the sun came out in time to put up our tents. The campsite got pretty crowded, pretty quickly!

The weather was kind to us on Friday and we explored some great off-road tracks.

We even got to meet some of the locals!

Some of the trails got pretty difficult. Lose momentum going uphill and the innevitable happens (it's not me). We had to turn around and come back down this track.

No problems for Simon, me or Martin .... but Tim's F650GS needed a little encouragement.

The weather was not so good on Saturday, but it gave us a chance to attend some interesting presentations on subjects ranging from Round The World trips, efficient packing, GPS use and even cooking Roadkill !

I can also recommend the chip shop in Matlock Bath we all visited....but given the number of bikes outside, you probably know this place already.

Do you mean this one by any chance?

Tom Tom - great for telling you how to get from A to B and a great fashion accessory for the car. :augie

Not so great for plotting routes, planning trips, keeping a tracklog or sharing routes.

Buy a Garmin !

Those who attended this year couldn't help but notice the professional looking camera crew interviewing lots of people there. Susan Johnson tells me that a four DVD boxed set of the meeting will be available from HU about Christmas.

dave.
I am struggling to do all thuis stuff with my rider 2. Surely it is possible!. Its made slightly complex by teh irish co-ordinate system.
Let me know how you are getting on. I am not giving up yet

Thanks for that Chris
