Just given the bike a once over this morning and I have noticed that the retrofitted Stebel Horn has been catching the top of my forks (the rubber bits at the top) taking some pieces off, I can feel some steel from the fork on the leading edge now.

Part 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 in this diagram:

Can anyone offer any advice on experiences with this. I have played with moving the horn but see no alternative than to remove and refit old horn??

Also, is there any corrective action that I need to do now, will the forks start to bleed or leak if I leave it like this. Don't much fancy taking the forks off without back up out here?

Bike is a R1150GSA.

THanks in advance.

Nick

Thanks for the that.

My horn is actually one of these:

so any comments on this would help, I will take some shots tonight when I get home to show problem.

Thanks in advance.

Nick.

That photo shows the old style Nautilus with the large trumpet (mine finally gave-up after getting filled with fesh-fesh), the current model has a smaller trumpet and fits with ease.

who's horny

I have a stieble and that took a lot of fiddling with to get clearance, I also
fitted two of these but under the beak on a light type bar (home made) under the oil cooler. The fork oil only lubricates the springs an unless it getsd on the disc apart from a mess don't worry about it.
