And hence, hopefully a bit more reasonable than those nearer the centre? Prices seem pretty hefty! So somewhere outside the city but with access to public transport?

Just on the off chance that someone may have knowledge of a contender.

What is the price range & time of year you are looking at?

ps; would you also like the weather forecast too ;)

I'm booked into here for late September, like most places you'll probably have to pay to use one of the parking garages. Didn't seem too expensive for a city centre stop:

I used Booking.com to narrow down the options available. I wanted a city centre location as I'm there for only one night as want to see some of the sights.

Thanks. Not available for my dates. I suspect there's something on.

Early October. It looks like summat's afoot. A change of plan seems likely!

There’s a very big (bi-annual) food fair in Cologne and the Cologne Marathon, both early in October.

Trade Fairs:
  • Anuga:
(October 4-8) The world's leading food and beverage fair, attracting thousands of exhibitors and visitors.

  • Cologne Marathon:
(October 5) The city's marathon, which may cause some traffic disruptions, especially around Cologne-Deutz.
