Just had a pile of Failure Notices forwarded on to me by Mrs Yoda.

She has used the same Yahoo account since the dawn of internet time and in the past 48 hours has had every email she send to people on Hotmail get bounced:-

At first she though it was because they were on her bulk netball club mailing list, but it seems to affect individual emails as well.

Have Hotmail put a global block on Yahoo? :nenau

I've had problems sending emails to hotmail accounts e.g. only about 1 in 3 emails from a tesco.net address got to my aunt. She had problems receiving emails from other people too, especially from yahoo. I got her to sign up for a gmail account and all has been tickety boo since.

I don't think anyone in my regular email contact list uses hotmail anymore. Most have migrated to gmail as it works well via the web interface or via POP3. Gmail's spam filtering seems very good too.

I use a hotmail address for logging into MSN. I don't use the email account. The hotmail interface is horrible, bombards you with adverts, deletes valid emails and lets through lots of spam.
