I have been trying get the reflective panels clean on my Hein Gerick Summit Gortex Jacket, I purchased the reflective option last year as I had some European tours to do this year, although the performance of the jacket is totally superb, I'm wishing now that I'd got a black version and a cheap reflective over waistcoat as the yellow shows all the muck!

I have just put it through the washing machine on a 40 degree wash using some Nikwax wash as per recommended by the manufactures, but it hasn't come clean, in fact apart from the bugs disappearing the jacket looks un-washed.

Can anyone please advise....tricks and tips...note, this jacket is totally waterproof and I'd like it too stay this way! :008:

PS. I have talked to HG in the UK but I felt that I was talking to a young non-biker who was reading reading from a sheet of paper.
