As posted in another thread I'm fed up with the problems I'm getting with this fecking shite software!!

Safari, pages, numbers etc are crashing more often than ever, about 4 times in a minute, ok sometimes less but at least once every couple of minutes. I've rebooted from new, cleared cache etc, all of the things I've read about on the net, but wondered if anyone on here has sorted it.

All I would like to do is get back to how it was, it's become almost un-usable

Plug it into your computer and restore it to the back up stored before you loaded IO5.

If you google "restore iPad to a previous backup" you'll find a heap of people that will detail how to do it.

Thanks, will check it out, didn't know you could restore to previous backup on iPad :thumb2

I think if you do that, you'll still get iOS5. You need to restore from a previously saved image to get back to iOS4. Not that straightforward.

Bloody safari's just crashed again on me while writing.

Use tapatalk, and wait for an update. It's much better for this anyway :)

Looks like you can't do it..

So is tapatalk really that good:confused:

i'm pretty sure you can do it*, but like i said, it's not straightforward, and it's certainly not got the apple seal of approval :D

i started using tapatalk to access this forum on my iphone as soon as BHT enabled tapatalk access. it really is the only acceptable way for the iphone.
i also find it miles better for forums than safari on the ipad. slightly less flexible than a browser, and it does crash occasionally, but it is essential as far as i'm concerned :thumb2

anyway, it's only two quid :nenau

or

try Opera mini browser. i have it on my iOS kit and it works fine, in some ways better than safari. don't know if i've ever used it with ukgser?? probably.
i've also used the full browser on my macs for some jobs for years. both are free.

*you can but i wouldn't. you'll need 5 more as time goes on.

I still havent done the tapatalk thing yet and just saved ukgser to home page, open from there and works a treat. Havent had one crash yet so contrary to my usual fad for modifying things i buy, i will just keep this one the way it is :beerjug:

Decided to give it a go.. so far, so good ;-). (no smileys though)

whats the advantage than just opening from a home page?

Well still getting used to it but it sort of puts all new posts on the same page and just makes it easy to see unread posts, also faster to open threads. It's more text biased and less fancy. If you go to apps on your iPad / computer, do a search for Tapatalk, then you can see screen shots of it in use :thumb2

Thanks - will give it a go.
