I might be jumping the gun here, but madam bought me ( us ) a Garmin Nuvi 1410 for Chrimbo. It shows that you can see buildings on the screen and which lane to select etc in advance of a junctionetc...just wondering how does one activate this view, rather than the standard image set-up ? Is it a download :nenau

As you've gathered we are both numpties at GP'Sssssss:D

You sound like Tarka :D

Tarka - does he have a Scottish accent....?

Thanks, saw that but when I did as it asked, just went to an aerial view.

Oh well, I'll have a drive out and see what happens on the move :thumb2

:beerjug:

You'll only get the lane assist view when you're actually at those junctions. However, the buildings etc. should be visible on the map so long as you have 3D mapping selected. Unless, of course, they haven't considered any of the buildings in Liverpool to be worthy of inclusion.....

Specs suggest that the 3D buildings are not available. Lane assist/junction view is. That's only likely to happen on major dual carriageway or motorway merges.
Can navigate directly to geotagged photos that you download from the garmin site and load onto the unit.
That's gleaned from the Garmin site.

I'm off out on my Ural...:D

Just want to see a few greasy joes cafes/porn shops/dole office (photo of Trippy will do :augie) derelict buildings/odd prozzie standing inside the doorways etc. Just to get a feeling of home :D

The sat nav will have plenty of time to adjust...it's situated in a 1983 Land Rover
