As the title says! I've read of "gmtk" but it's looking for maps and I can't find out how to select my routes to get them onto the gmtk software, back them up onto a memory drive and transfer to my new pc. Help please.

Copy them to a stick or DVD and then copy them to the new computer.

Last time I changed my PC was 2010, but I remember using something called windows easy transfer along with a USB link adapter to transfer all the files directly from the old PC to the new one, i've still got the cable and installation CD "Win7 USB Link Adapter", google that and if its any help I'll post it to you.
My main concern at the time was loads of photo files.

its pretty straight forward. From Basecamp select FILE then select BACKUP. The backup process will backup everything inside the Basecamp database to a single file. Copy that file (or email it) and plonk it on your new computer.

On your new computer and from within Basecamp, select FILE then select RESTORE and select the backup file you created. Your new computer will now have all the information from your old Basecamp system.

Hope that helps.

Hi Img: It worked! Thanks for the help and it was much appreciated. My Europe map was also locked and I couldn't find any way to get it unlocked but it seems fine this morning! Bad software day yesterday!
