I picked up my X Challenge last week and was surprised at the amount of vibration coming through the footpegs and the grips.
The bike is shod in MT21s and I think has a 14 front sprocket.
Any thoughts or have I just forgotten what it's like to ride a big single !

What bike were you riding before and what type of tyres? .. and how worn are the MT21s?

They're pretty smooth for a big single but will vibe - I had grip puppies on mine and Micky got his remapped which smoothed his Xcountry out IIRC him saying so

Indeed :thumb

I never thought that the X-Country was particularly vibey, but a remap at Hilltop certainly made it super smooth and able to potter in a thirty limit in fourth with instant pick up on the throttle :thumb

Generally they are quite smooth for a big single. I have mt21s on one of mine and I don't feel any excessive vibes caused by them.

Maybe just a case of getting used to it?

Thanks for your input all...So I have had a 3aj Tenere and a 660 Tenere and my other steed is a DRZ. I have just been out for a ride on both, the DRZ on MT21s gets a bit rough at 65-70, 65 is a nice cruising speed. The X Challenge is also wearing MT 21s of a similar age and at 70 it's very vibey . I have put Grip Puppies on which reduce it a bit but the vibes through the seat and pegs seems truly awful. Maybe the rear shock needs adjusting as it's very tall and very hard suspension.

So I changed the plugs and it's much much better, thanks for advice all. :)
