My son needs a passport sized photo for his Tae Kwon-Do membership.
I have taken his photo with my camera but this is as far as I have got :blast

Do I have to go to the booth at tesco or is there a way to do this at home :nenau

Thanks :thumb2

I'm sure there'll be somebody on here that knows an easier way, but I've downloaded some free software called 'pixresizer' that I use to change the size of photos for email attachments etc.

Easily found on Google. I've used it for years at work and at home and it's never caused any problems, and it's dead simple to use.

May I assume it's a digital camera ? In which case you may download "Picasa" or "Irfanview" & you can resize it there....

I've tried irfan but it just seems to 'stretch' the image when I print :nenau

Get PMVIEW. It correctly resizes without reducing quality.
Been around for years.

I think you get a 40 day trial... cant remember, I paid for mine:)

either

paste it into a word document with a couple of different sizes so you have a few to choose from or send me the original and tell me what size you need.

You can download Microsoft's own Image Resize from their Powertools utilities

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

It adds a resize utility to the options seen when using right click on the image file.

However no matter what utility you use, a lot of printing tools try to blow the picture up automatically to fit the page so you need to find the best way to switch off the so called 'useful' make it full screen on print option.

Easiest solution is probably the previously mentioned stick your image into Word a few times and scale it in Word before printing.

In 'Resize/Resample Images, have you ticked 'Preserve Aspect ratio'? If so, you can then manually choose pixel size without squashing
