Every time I think I've got Garmin sussed they bowl a googley! It was doddle to reverse a route on the 660 but be blowed if I could work out how to do it today when I was out and about!:blast

Would somebody put me out of my misery please?!

I don't think you can....I think you have to feed in the new route i.e. your old starting point (now the destination) and let it calculate the route all over again.

I am doing this from memory when I had the same query.

However........someone will probably come along very soon and prove my memory wrong! :D

Where to > custom routes > choose route > edit > reverse points> back twice > go

Edit misread post this refers to a 660 not Nav V

If that's true, it's a major bummer for me! I often plan a number of routes when I go out for the day an decide closer to the time which one I'm going to use. I know from bitter experience yesterday that by just changing the start point to the end point you loose the route you plotted and it just calculates it's own new route.

So if I've got this right, the only way to get round it is to load all the routes I create to go in both directions:blast

When you leave fasten a big ball of wool tied to a lamp post, put said ball of wool in your pannier, to return just follow the trail of wool.

PS String could be used if you have no wool.:augie

Take a look at TracBack - this will give you a solution but you will need to run the route in one direction first. Once ridden in one direction, TracBack will allow you produce and save the reverse route.

Reckless - thanks for your comments. What I was actually trying to do was reverse a route that I hadn't ridden. I created two routes but they were both from the same starting and finishing point. The problem started when I had got to the destination but then wanted to come home using the second option. I did it like this because I knew how easy it was to reverse a route on my old 660. No such luck with the Nav 5!:blast

Why did they take this option off the Nav 5? I used it quite a bit. Am I the only one?:nenau

I agree - having had the facility, it would have been nice to have kept it. Suggestion: When you make up your route in Mapsource/Basecamp, produce a reversed copy immediately and then save it to the Nav 5 at the same time as you save the other.

produce a reversed copy immediately

Yep - looks like the only way.:blast

For all of its new features, the Nav 5 is cumbersome in some areas. I shall be interested to see how it shapes up side-by-side with the 590.

Just come across this as I was searching how to reverse a route.
Maybe one solution would be to get into the habit of creating a reverse route each time you create a route in BC and name it as such.
Far from ideal but at least the option is there on the Nav V should you need it.

Just turn the satnav upside down

If i remember from my 660 days it is possible to reverse the route

select the route then somewhere it asks you or lets you reverse it

Been 3 years since i had my 660 and of course the firmware may have changed .....
