How do I transfer iPad from one laptop to anewlatop

I need to transfer my iPad and iPhone from an old laptop to new one. Currently I synch both with Outlook and would like to move across without losing music or mail etc. I have Oulook synching fine at present and won't use the old laptop after the transfer. The old laptop will become the home Pc and my wife will use it for her Outlook so I intend to delete my mail account from that one, currently the mail is working to both laptops.
Can someone advise me on the process please.

can you not pop the docs and music into iCloud ? then download them to the new pc ? theres something called iTunes match too ,but think it only does music not docs

Surely it's iTunes? Maby I'm barking up the wrong tree but everything should go into iTunes on the first computer and when you load iTunes to the new one and put in your password and Id they should download. Auterise the new one and de-authorise the old one. Check everything and when you are happy delete any remaining files. Or something like that not necessarily in that order. (Sorry not putting in Jjh any more)

open iTunes on laptop
unauthorise present laptop

sign in on new computer
sync sync phones to new computer. Hey presto

only thing you will lose like I did was
any thing you've burned from cd to iTunes
i tunes only stores bought things your laptop stores burnt items
hope that makes sense

If you want to transfer non iTunes music have a look at the FileApp app for the iOS device and it's PC equivalent, iMazing. It does everything iTunes does and a whole lot more
