My laptop went poof!
Not worth getting it fixed but I wanted to recover stuff off the hard drive.
Got onto ebay and found a suitable caddy to turn the drive into an external hard drive.
It came today. Nice little aluminium box. USB cable, Good instruction. It even had a little screwdriver and a couple of screws.
Plugged it in - worked first time.
All in all an excellent piece of kit.
