I'm now the proud owner of a set of shiny new BMW panniers and top box for my 12GSA (not shiny for long after seeing all the posts on corrosion of the un-treated aluminium:( )

I'm mystified by the rubber dust covers for the locks though..........can anyone tell me how you are supposed to get them to stay in:confused:

Hi rub a bit of spit on the end of it push it into the lock then with alittle bit of a wiggle push it all the way in ! Then have a lie down!!:thumb2

Yeah, mine are the same , they go in about a millimetre . So have you just got them this week terzikat? , if so and you're worried about corrosion getting to them , apply some acf50 (it's supposed to do the trick);)

Do you mind me asking how much they were and where from?

Did you consider any others and why did you go for the BMW ones in the end?

got em from williams manchester, price was ouch........too much.

But they fit brilliantly, are f.big. and look the muts nuts

As a timeserved tinsmith for BAE Systems (long time ago now!) I would say they are pretty well made.

Just a shame they didn't anodise the ally:(
