How do you remove the brake fluid caps?

I needed to check the fluid level on one of the reservoirs but it was unclear from the outside so I thought I would unscrew it and check from inside. I could not remove any of the caps. They all appear to turn 5-10 mm in either direction but don't come off. I didn't want to force them.
From a cursory glance at the user guide, I could not see a how-to.
Is this a black art or am I being dumb? Enlightenment someone?

How about epoxying a 19mm nut on, leaving it to dry...............

They're childproof!! :D

To remove, you have to squeeze in the two tags on the sides of the reservoir, as shown in the picture below. Hold the tags in and unscrew the cap. It helps if you have three hands.

To replace the cap, just screw it back on, it's got a ratchet type of system.

Be aware that this is only the control circuit container. There is one more control circuit container for the foot pedal and, more important, two wheel circuit containers under the gas tank.

I would not recommend opening it too often to check the level as it is supposed to be a close circuit. The brake fluid could take up moisture in the air pretty quickly and deteriorate faster than it should.
If u can check the level from the outside the better IMHO.

Well I cannot see *any* level in my reservoir, so its either completely full or completely empty. Don't like the idea that it may be completely empty, so I also fancied taking the tops off to check.

Took the top off the front reservoir and there's a rubber diaphragm below. How do you get this off, as I still can't see the fekkin level:confused:
