If I could find out if the system could be changed over to say normal brake like on everything else....lever, master cylinder, lines, calipers.......then I'd do that....but I must admit it's like playing Russian roulette lol just a waiting game....I was reading about someone in the Pyrenees and coming down a mountain section of road fully loaded the servo failed.....is there a roughish mileage figure of when they fail.....or is it when they do they do....lol I realise that all bikes have their problems.....

To my (very limited) knowledge servo-ectomy means rerouting the hydraulics to bypass the servo. There are many threads on doing the job. Probably just leave the thing in place to keep the ABS light quiet.

That is exactly what you end up with once you remove the servo.
Ok.....so how would I sort the wiring out.....I've read a few posts where some have lost the speedo and a few other electric bits n bobs.....I don't mind a flashy light as that's easily sorted......I'm useless with the wires....lol sorry to be a pain....lol

I wasn't an expert when I did the servosectomy to my bike but it's not too difficult. Now we're talking pre 07 bikes here (I think that's the right date) These are the ones with the servo assisted ABS system NOT the later bikes. All you need to do is split the electronic part of the servo unit (the bit with the big multi plug) from the hydraulic side. Unplug the connectors and get something to blank off the exposed electrics (I used an old number plate cut to size and silicone sealant and screwed it back in place) plugged it all back in and everything works as before re speedo etc. I've just returned from a trip round Spain and France including the Pyrenees Cols and my brakes are better than with the servo. Loads more progressive, great feel and no real loss of braking power. I prefer them.

This presumably loses the ABS so be careful at first. These bikes give less early warning of a wheel locking than "normal" bikes. The brakes are just as good but they now won't help out if the rider gets a bit aggressive with the levers.
If ur as heavy handed as that, then u have problems.....I've got a gsx1400 with tokico 6 pots on them....and I've grabbed the brake lever very hard in a oh shit moment and have never locked the front brakes....I'm not saying it impossible to do.....even when riding abs bikes....I've never had the abs light even flicker.....

I actually dropped my GS at low speed when the ABS/speedo sensor was playing up. I had to do a quick but not emergency stop and the front simply washed out. Ive never (seemingly) come close to the limit before but maybe I was closer than I thought. No harm done apart from bruises and pride.
The Yammie Diversion 900 with its "hits stops fork dive" had the blue spot caliper upgrade. I did a full on emergency stop leaving black marks from the front tyre and never lost it. A child (old enough to know better) ran out virtually under the front wheel. The original Diversion calipers would have taken me out - no fine control.
