It’s at home on my driveway. The plan is to use my gs 911 to pump the fuel out and then do the same with the injectors and fingers crossed start it up! I’ll check the spark plugs too in case they are greasy

You have to be careful but you can pull the injectors off the stiff plastic hose. Then the fuel will pour out easily.
Good idea. I’ve never done this before so I might be wrong but I’m planning on using the fuel line that connects up front left of the tank - might just buy a bit of fresh fuel line for this.
I just fuelled the scooter on the way to work today and fuel is crazy money, diesel at £1.91 a litre at Asda and not some rip off small garage outfit.
Sod wasting money putting the wrong fuel in, its an expensive mistake to make now.
Just over two Gallons of Petrol for £16.65, my old Dad would be having a fit at that price (£7.74 a Gallon by my basic maths, Diesel even worse at £8.69 a Gallon).

Syphon it out. That said, when I did it, there was still some diesel somewhere in the bottom of the tank. Despite not running the bike with diesel in it and putting a decent amount of fuel in to dilute what remained, I still fouled the plugs.
PS Don’t forget to have a suitably sized container to hand, to catch the diesel you pump / syphon out.

You could use one of those pumps for sucking out oil, they use quite narrow tubes that you could poke down each side of the tank and then drain the rest.
I’ve jjh coming round Thursday with a 20 L Gerry can. I’ll use the fuel pump to move most of it. I’ll let you know how I get on!

At some point it will run a bit lumpy and smoke a bit.
You need to take the bike out and go to the garage and brim it with the same petrol.
Drive into the clean air zone in London and smoke the place out
just for shits n giggles

Am I wrong in planning on using the fuel pump to evacuate it?
I would rather syphon it out of the tank.
If you use the fuel pump it will all pass through the captive non replaceable filter , would prefer to avoid that.
It is very easy to remove the pump which gives you good access to the tank.

I use one of these. The first time I used it I feared the petrol would turn it into a soggy molten mess.... but 2-3 years later it's still doing good service (I run water through it post-petrol syphoning, then hang it up to dry). Under a fiver.
I shall syphon it so. Glad I didn't bother getting stuck in yesterday. I'll be taking the tank off anyway so it should be easy enough to get it all in one area. Is the fuel pump assembly reasonably similar to the 1100's and 1150's? Must have a mooch on t'interweb. And a look on screwfixes website.

I'm hoping Lidl will have mahoosssive water containers that I can put the fuel into and then transfer to Mr JJH on thursday.

Just the job. So much nicer than a straight tube and a gobfull of fuel.
OP, you might need to botch a length of thinner pipe to the end, just to get it into the deeper recesses. There again, if you are taking the tank off (I’m not sure why) you can always tip the diesel out or swill it to somewhere more accessible.
Ah yes the tank. I did a massive refurbish of the bike, including the abs pump. Since buttoning it all back together I've a rattle at a certain rpm! It's driving me potty and I think I know where it is! So, I'll be taking it off to find that anyway! If there is no bolt i've a different new problem. I have a 100ml syringe with a long tube i was planning on using to reverese bleed the brakes but never used it!
Seeing as we are chatting about this, a few questions? maybe it'll help someone else?!
1_I'll be taking out the plugs and giving them a clean with brake cleaner. Good enough or will I have to see how toasted they are?
2_Diesel currently in the lines and injectors. Once I've cleared the tank, good idea to use the pump to clear out the rest in the fuel lines?
3_ Injectors. Will i need to clean these?
Or is all of the above covered by 'it'll smoke like steam train' for a little while?!!!

Put some petrol in the tank and swill it around thoroughly a few times. Pour / syphon it out. Repeat, if you like. This is easier if the tank is off. Me? I just rocked the bike around, the petrol and diesel residue sloshing about. I then syphoned it out.
Pour some more petrol in and start it up. It will probably smoke a bit (or a lot) especially if you blip the throttle. That will pass over time.
Do not smoke while doing it!

- Drain the Tank: Siphon or remove the fuel tank entirely to empty out all the remaining diesel. Rinse the inside of the tank with a small amount of clean petrol.
- Clean or Inspect Spark Plugs: Remove the spark plugs. Diesel coats them heavily and causes misfiring; clean them thoroughly or dry them out, though replacing them is often faster and easier.
- Flush the Fuel Lines: Disconnect the fuel lines and crank the engine over briefly (or cycle the pump) with fresh petrol running through to purge any trapped diesel from the lines and injectors.
- Refill with Fresh Petrol: Fill the tank with fresh unleaded petrol (super unleaded is recommended for the first tankful to help clean out any residual residue).
- Start the Engine: Crank the bike. It may run rough or smoke heavily at first as the remaining traces burn off, but it should smooth out
