Hmmmm - you must be psycic? Bob.
Gerry is doing very well thank you.
He's been moved from Ward 17 to Ward 19 temporarily as he picked up an infection in his wound. Wire brush & Detol has sorted that out 'tho, and he's hoping to go back to 17 soon, as the other occs. of 19 are driving him daft.
He has a zimmer on wheels and is starting to get up and use it, but it'll be a slow process. He may get home for Xmas (we all hope).
Self and others from BMWC are visiting again tomorrow afternoon, so, no doubt chaos will ensue.!!!!

Gerry reckons if they take out his drains he will be home by the end of this week.

How's Gerry Watts
Self, Norman, Steve & Mrs Steve visited this afternoon to find Gerry sitting in a chair beside his bed looking fairly knackered.
He had been up since morning, during which time he had a physio session, and a trip to the bog (nae mair cardboard containers for oor Gerry).
As he was knackered he elected to go back to his bed and appeared more comfortable once in it.
The good news is that he expects to be going home on Friday.
Let's hope he does.

That's good, glad to hear he is on the mend.
How long will he be in recuperation-mode ?

Will be 3/4 weeks before he can put any weight on his legs, so he'll be wheelchair bound until then. At the moment the plan is for him to "live" in the downstairs flat at Persie, until he is able to get upstairs. At least he'll be able to wheel himself about outside and not be confined.
