Simple question really - how much petrol is in the tank after all the bars are gone from the fuel gauge on the 1150GSA?

And how much once the light comes on?

Not sure about the GSA, but on my GS I have 25/30 miles at 65/70 mph after the light comes on.

I tested it last weekend. I had cca 60 km (40 miles?) after all bars gone and with orange petrol absence light and I tanked cca 26 liters to my 32 liters tank. It means that significantly more tahn 100 km (6O miles) can be reasonable estimation. But it can be very individual like where the petrol level sensor is located in the tank atc,...

every bike is different, not by much, but they are different.

I've got a general rule. When the "bars" of fuel drops below the temperature "bars" I keep an eye open for a station.

Remember: "The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire". :thumb

cheers lads. I ran out of bars on the way back from football last night and sweated it to the nearest petrol station (maybe 10 miles). Looks like I didn't have to be that worried.

Thanks again....

+1, I have doen this and found that the bike would go much further than I expected before it ran out. Figures aren't relevent as mine isn't the Adventure.
