I've always fancied a set of cast wheels for my GS and I picked some up this week. Put them on my bike last night and instantly started riding like a hooligan. :green gri

3 hours later I got home with a big smile on my face to the question "where have you been?"

How long will it last?

What dWas wrong with the spoked wheels? Were they missing or something?

The GS ally wheels look nice especially in gloss black but handling is identical. Same size & weight as wires.

I think you'll find the original front wheel on the 1150 was 19" and the ally is 17", well mine is.... ;)

The handling is a wee bit different too...

err not on mine, front wire wheel is 19" Ally wheel is 17"

Also the rear is the 5.5" and has a 180 tyre on it, not sure if that adds to it but sure is fun.

My 1150 has alloys, with a 170 on the rear. Will have another look, as thinking of a 180 myself. Want to go for the big SuperMoto look!

Had mine on for a couple of years now. I wouldn`t want to change back. It makes it harder to get the bike onto the main stand but the flickability (is that a word?) and ease of cleaning far outweigh that.

That is what I meant. The GS 19" alloys handle identical to the wires. Clearly the 17" from a sportier model will change the handling.
