How many GSA's in Cheshire

I was refused entry at the Wilmslow crossing point a few years back.
A few of us scaled the walls, evaded the watchtowers and searchlights, and swam the moat to get into Cheshire, just to see if the rumours were true....you know, Rolex's on every wrist, more Porsches and Bentleys than Knightsbridge, long-legged totty everywhere in Mini Coopers etc etc

However, we were all rounded up and unceremoniously dumped back into reality at the Macclesfield barbed wire-encrusted ramparts, scuttling back to our grubby hovels in the city. EEhhhh, tell the kids today and they don't believe ya!

So no! feck off, I don't want to come and play in Cheshire now I'm all grown up:P :D:D:D

Should have given me a shout. I was living in Wilmslow for the last 18 years. Only recently have I moved to Alty. Most of the champagne charlies aren't local anyway. Two cows in the drive and no milk in the fridge.

The irony is most residents of Wilmslow don't go out in Wilmslow or Alderley Edge because all the wannabes come from outside the area cos they think it's something special when in reality it's just OK. Laughed my tits off when they burnt down Brassingamens or Panacea as it was renamed. In the old days the Brass was great. Sticky floor, dodgy music, dingy lighting with a UV tube and a real fire, loads of real totty. Then it got up it's own arse and became a place to be avoided.

My fav's used to be the King William pub on Manchester road before it was taken over by some champagne charlies and now the best place to go is the King Arms on the roundabout. :thumb

Blimey, I used to go there when it was called "The Queensgate", some years ago now. Wednesday nights after picking the regs up for next weeks MX event, Friday nights if we were feeling flush. There would be at least 10 lads from Gtr Manchester AMCA leaning on the bar, watching the girls. We used to think that they were a bit stuck up even then! Or as Swanny put it "They think their sh*t doesn't smell!"
Nostalgia eh, aint wot it used ter be!

I think it was the Queensgate in 1989. I first stepped foot in it then when I was 17. I had just moved to the area with my folks and it was more of an eatery back then. Funnily enough in 2007 it had reverted to much the same layout as it did in 1989. Back then I was young and dumb and wanted to get in with that lot. Now I do my best to avoid the whole town.

Went out with this high maintenance woman from 2005-2007 who was hell bent on making that her stomping ground and had decided those were her kind of people. She had to be dumped :rob. She was from the South east and wouldn't listen to my reasoning that I had spent the best part of 10 years wasting my time in that place and that she would find genuine and real people elsewhere. :beerjug:
