That's very impressive but you've pulled a fast one by including the BMW roundels. The original posting was a reference to the 1200GS/GSA logos which, with Mark's, mods was at 7. I guess you've still beaten that though.

I still don't quite get why owners feel the need to add more BMW and GS/GSA badges as no one seems able to open up to the group to 'share'. I don't feel the need to add any more because the one roundel and 1200GS logo per side does the job.

Oh - you seem very 'special'

You too.... :kissy2

What 'job' is that then?

The roundel shows it's a BMW which is central to promoting the brand and pampering to our inner personal needs/values and communicating our level of disposable income. The 1200GS says it's got a pretty big engine and we like to go off-road; aspire to go off-road; or just like having a bike with off-road characteristics.

Never mind BMW!

I've got at least 15 Touratech logos on my GSA 30 clearly visible and that doesn't include the ones 'inside' the topbox and panniers:blast

FP.

Color of BMW Logo:
BMW logo comprises of strong colors, casting a great impression on the spectator about the firm. Blue, black and white hues compliment to form such a logo that defines the chic character of the firm which cannot be described in words. The quarters of the BMW logo are shaded as white and blue whereas the thick ring is colored in the black shade projecting powerful nature of the firm.

The reason for using blue and white is because it is used in the flag of Bavaria and thus makes one aware of the origin of the company. Why the insignia is round is another story.

Karl Rapp was one of the founders of Karl Rapp Motorenwerke (28 October 1913) which had a round logo and produced aircraft engines. He was previously employed by Flugwerk Deutschland GmbH, an aircraft manufacturer which was dissolved early 1913, where he worked as an engineer and operations manager. BMW was founded 0n 25 July 1917 after terminating Karl Rapp's contract and taking on a new name 'Bayerische Motorenwerke' or BMW AG. Karl Rapp is acknowledged by BMW as an indirect founder of BMW.

The 1200 logo's is to remind the owner to not post in the 1150 section :D.
