 This is probably a stupid question but, roughly how many routes can I save to my 2610?

I'm off to Italy in a few weeks and want to plan various options when we're down there and for getting home. I've stored a few for now but just wondered how many the unit would take.

Iain:

Information like this, which falls into the general category of 'specifications', can be found on the Garmin website. Here's how to find it:

1) Go to the Garmin website - www.garmin.com
2) Choose 'Mobile Electronics', then choose 'Products'.
3) Choose the model you are interested in, in this case, the SP 26xx.
4) On the left side of the screen, click the tab 'Specifications'.

Here's a direct link to the specifications page for your GPSR: Home > Mobile Electronics > Products > StreetPilot 2610 > Specifications

Regards,

Michael

As you can read in other threads the specifications are not enough to determine how many routes one can fit into a SP2610.

SP2610 has the same spec as the SP3 regarding routes. It says "up to 50 routes". But that is only a theoretical maximum. The actual max number of routes depends of several factors as route length and where in Europe the routes are.

Example: In my SP3 I could fit in up to 15 half day routes on italian roads or up to 45 similar half day routes on swedish roads.

The only way to find out is to test. Create a few routes in the area you plan to drive, upload them, and se what happens. :eek

Well, that may be true for someone who lives and breathes application debugging, but the information provided by Garmin at the link I provided above should be sufficient for someone who asks "roughly how many routes can I save to my 2610?" Geez, don't confuse the guy, already.
