I was just wondering how many WC owners will be going for the new WC Adventure when it is available? I own a 2004 GS and am looking at the WC version, but the Adventure does not interest me, so I was thinking there may be a few about next year?
Cheers

I won't be.:rob It's unnecessary for my needs. In fact, it's probably unnecessary for most peoples needs.:P The only appeal to me is the black engine, frame and shaft, and I asked if my bike (which is being built next week) could be supplied with the black bits, but was told that BMW don't offer this option.:blast And before the sniping, they used to offer this for a small charge.:rob

Well owning the current GSA and being a short arse ,having sat on the new GSA I can say it is a lot lower than the current model but it looks so top heavy. I expect it isn't as top heavy as the current model just looks it.

Some one has made comment about the older Paris-Dakar bikes but hell they all look so much less designed and more natural.

Another short arse here,
while i liked the older gsa, and no way i could get a leg over it due to the height , The new one from certain angles looks unfinished and the apple core removal tool at the top of the crash bars is just stupid unless you wanna hide a spliff in there.:blast:D

It doesn`t feel that big and it ain`t too tall either.
Loads of plastic shit though.....Toooo much plastic for my liking.
Better off buying Lego.

The words of an old person who is stuck in their ways, struggles with the modern World and change. Plastic is the new metal, just like metal was the new wood - bring back wooden, steam driven motorcycles - oooooops sorry, steam was the new horses - bring back the horse powered wooden motorcycle yeaaaaa! Oooops why not just ride the horse Yeaaaaa the good old days were the best - it's all gone to crap since then :D

Never mind..............it give touratat a chance to coin it in selling the punters over priced fugly bungs to fill the holes  :augie

I am and you're welcome to my '13 WC - It's got a brand new engine in it and brand new switch gear. That is one of the reasons why I am going for the GSA - hoping that the bike will be a bit better sorted by next March.

I admire your optimism - as far as I know the engine is identical part from slightly heavier flywheel - the switch gear has been redesigned allegedly, it has been fitted to my 2013 bike and feels pretty much the same as the old one, hopefully it will prove to be more reliable, time will tell.

Having said all that, even if there were no changes I'd still be happy getting an identical one because it is a cracking bike :D

I'm not a particularly technical chap but I am an optimistic one and I can't believe that BMW don't make adjustments to the design and/or manufacturing tecniques in light of the problems thrown up by the on ongoing testing carried out by their faithful buyers (myself included). It just wouldn't make sense (financial and reputational) to ignore all the feedback.
And I agree that the bike (whilst it was working) was a cracking one- hence I've come back for more even if my (entirely fanciful) dream of doing a runner one day and leaving everything behind has been dented by the realisation that I might not make it as far as the ferry terminal without the aid of BMW Assist!
