How much are alloy wheels worth ?

Just wondering how much alloy wheels are worth ? and if anyone out there is interested. Used, but like new, low mileage, possibily with half used tyres included and wheel bolts.

This is the situation, my good buddy John has just bought a used 1200 GS, it has alloys but he really wanted spoke wheels. He was wondering if it would be financially viable to sell his alloys and buy some spoke wheels, so they are not for sale at the moment. I have done a search and although some have sold, there has been no indication of how much they are worth. All this post is for, is a feeler to see if anybody who might of sold them, could say how much they were able to sell for (what they are worth).

I now realise that I didn't start the thread very well, not explaining the situation and I apologise for that.

So those who have sold or bought alloys, just wondering how much they went for and I understand that at the end of the day, they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay (supply and demand).

Nothing certain at the moment, but if he decides its worth while, he'll probably put them on e-bay with a reserve, but will let you know.

I wish I'd got the wire wheels on mine whe I bought it. But, it was a cancelled order so I didn't get the choice. However, for a mere £1000ish, I suppose I could buy a set and have the best of both worlds...........for a mere £1000............

i reckon with tyres and discs about £300 - £400

I wouldnt pay anymore than that personally
