How much for wheels

Anyone have an idea what a set of wire wheels cost for an 08 GSA as a second set so I can swap wheels for on and off road rides quickly.

In the USA it's $942 for a front and $972 for a rear from a BM dealer.

Guess that'll be about £950 for a pair here then

You could probably buy a second hand tyre changing machine for much less than that. Make tyre changing a breeze (although maybe using the machines isn't quite as easy as it looks).

Does that price for wheels include discs and bearings in the front?

I was quoted 1,255.00 pounds for the black GSA wire wheels when I ordered my 08 GS.

You can fit pre 08 wheels,
the wheels are the same but the 2008 disc mounts have changed, moving the discs 2mm outwards each side, compared to a pre 2008 set up.
To fit early wheel + discs you will have to make 2 x 2mm spacers to move the brake callipers inwards 2mm.
All bm have done is machine 2mm of the calliper to accomodate the wider mounted discs.

i've been quoted £630 or £660 (memory a bit hazy, but six something) for a 1200GSA front wheel by bmw dealer

And do not forget that is without brake discs,bolts,the little plastic washers and the ABS ring (if you have em) which you would need if you simply want to just change wheels each time.
Also if you are going from Alloy to wire you will need longer bolts for the rear!
