So, long story short, I'm building a garage which will have a lean-to in which I'll keep an F800GS (haven't bought one yet, before you ask). I hope to be able to ride into the lean-to, , stick the side stand down and get off to park the thing for the night. The side of the lean-to will be open.
In terms of planning the size, width is easy - the bars are 860mm wide, so I'll make the thing 1500mm between the side of the garage and the upright that supports the lean-to. I'm struggling to work out the minimum height.
Do you reckon you can get off your bike without exceeding a height of, let's say, 6 feet 3 inches? I don't want to smash the top of my lid every time I get off...
