how much is my r1200gs worth?

can anyone give me any advice of what i should be selling my r1200gs for?

details are:-

yellow/silver/black with alloys, alarm and top box. done just over 2000miles and approx 5 months old (54 reg). only modification being front fender extender.

there is a friend of a friend interested, only told him it would be more than £8k. should it be more like £8.5k?? new bike in same spec would be £9803 plus top box and fitting kit.

tried looking on autotrader but no private ones for sale.

any advice would be welcome.

I think you are about right at £8500. Does it have ABS and heated grips??

There's one for £8.4 in MCN (should be on website too I guess) think usual extras. Dealers seem to be selling (or trying) them (some with higher miles than Id personally hope for) for £9k!. Given the warranty transfer etc cant see much benefit going to a dealer. You are doing yourself down at £8k IMO. Id TRY for just a grand less as a start point, or £8.5k to go. People are stull buying 1150s for well over £7k with lowish miles (alhtough I accept that this coule be because people want an 1150 out of preference so will pay).
