Anyone got an idea on how much to put in the front forks? stripped them down to replace the seals but can't reassemble until I get the info.

Sods law lhs lhs fork came straight out but the rhs cant as one allen bolt on the yolk wont play ball. Anyone got ideas on this as I dont wan to round out the head - just starting to be some play there after trying to crack it with a hammer! Applied heat gun to free up the loctite to no avail. Any ideas???

Thanks,

Oil Quantity

Jim,
The amount of oil is 0.47 litres ( or 470 cc or ml ) per leg. BMW supply the oil in a 1.0 litre bottle which is the right amount for two legs with a small quantity left over. If I remember rightly the price of the oil from BMW is ok. £7 or so.

Thanks Grizzly. Get those forks sorted tomorrow now.

I managed to move the last allen bolt securing the fork to the yoke, unfortunately the bottom didn't move with the top! Have to get the sheared bolt drilled out & re tap in Tuesday:( .

I can understand why loctite is used but its bl***y difficult to shift.

Thanks anyway.

Jim.
