I have managed to get a pair of RT wheels to fit to my 1150GSA and have all of the bits I need except a set of RT wheel bolts.

I have spent ages searching this forum and came across a post where the chap had inserted a washer between the bolt head and the cone (sorry cant find the post now!)

This seems to be a sound engineering solution and I think I will do the same so my question is what is the difference in length between the GS and RT rear wheel nuts so I know how thick the washers should be?

I have tried a search but to no avail.

Many thanks

Fantastic! Thanks for that.

Are these pages stickied anywhere? If not they should be!

I wouldn`t bother with washers, I bought a set of 4 bolts in March of last year from my local dealer, £9.04 for the 4 plus VAT. Cant have gone up that much?

I might have a spare set at home - I bought some when I fit RT wheels to my 1150GS and think I remember a set coming with the wheels too

Let me check and get back to you - if I have them, their yours

That would be fantastic, it was your posts that made me decide to go down the cast wheel route!

Where did you get your mudguard from? I have seen a link in your thread but my German is not good enough to navigate the site to the correct bit!

Yep - I've got them - PM me your address and I'll pop them in the post on Tuesday

The mudguard is form here:
http://www.boxer-design.de/en/default.asp?mode=selBike

Click on '1150GS', then scroll down and click on "Verkleidungs- & Zubehörteile in Kunststoff, GFK & Carbon" 3rd row from the bottom

Then clock on "Carbon front fender for 17 inch Funbike mod" on the top row and on the resulting page you'll see the cheaper Fibreglass option.

I ordered one for CoolCarbon which I think he ended up not using - PM him, he may still have it and wish to sell
