The Mrs & I are off to Morocco week after next; I have read the pro's and Con's of using a "helper" to clear through customs at Tanger Med........If we decide to do this how much should we be paying?

You don't need a "helper" at Tangier Med, the guys in proper uniform will show you what to do. Even then, it's a relatively simple process, just go from one window to the next and get the necessary stamps in Passport and temporary import papers for the bike. You can even download the paperwork for the bike before you go, follow these instructions:

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showth...emporary-import-forms-online-before-you-leave

And fill in this form:

I agree with blue Sweeper, I came through Nador a couple of weeks ago and I found it was easier to do it on your own rather than use a helper, officials are helpful enough, plus think of it as a game. After all they aren't going to close the border unless your through.

The other good bit of advice comes from Tim Cullis. When you get off the boat, go for a coffee, just wait until the madness calms down then go through, again it worked like a dream for me.

Thanks for the info; I have all the forms downloaded so will go the coffee / chill out route! Many Thanks

Just in Algeciras back from morocco...did tanger med as a first timer and was a little unsure....absolute doddle. Download the docs from here as provided by Tim Cullis... Ride off boat and at first little white century box get ya paper stamped with the number...move onto next box and hand the docs you downloaded .... He stamps ta passport and off you go.. He even posed for a photo with my g/f...as you drive off you come to a row of banks (little huts) and insurance hut too... Then off you go. Coming back you drive straight in and park by the "huts" again ... Ignore fixers here and walk over to booking office to confirm booking... Change ta dirhams too...ride off to ferry,,,,simples....save a coue of dirhams for coffee in ferry wIting park..

Watch out for speed radars in towns n on motorway..... And it's hot too... Was 37o in Zagora and around 25 elsewhere...
